It can be extremely stressful when your child is unwell. The Oxfordshire Healthier Together website and app provides parents with clear guidance on what action to take when their child is sick.

The resources have been developed in partnership between parents and healthcare professionals to provide information on common childhood illnesses, including advice on what 'red-flag' signs to look out for, where to seek help if required, what you should do to keep your child comfortable and how long your child's symptoms are likely to last.

The website and app offer clear, reliable advice and are designed to be a handy guide, accessible at home or on the go. It offers an easy-to-use self-triage assessment feature, to ensure the most appropriate healthcare setting when needed.

Dr Ed Capo-Bianco, a local GP, and part of the Healthier Together Project Team for Oxfordshire said: “We enthusiastically endorse the Healthier Together app. The information available offers an invaluable resource to parents and carers on symptoms such as cough, flu and COVID-19.

"Healthier Together offers direct access to clinical information and this can be very reassuring particularly as winter pressures take hold. We highly recommend parents downloading the app so that the resources and information are available at the touch of a button.”
