In March 2023, the Integrated Care Strategy was agreed upon by the BOB Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), a group of organisations that plan and provide health and care services in BOB, including our Local authorities, NHS Organisations, Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise, HealthWatch and academic / innovation partner representatives.

The strategy provides a shared vision and set of priorities for all organisations involved in the planning and provision of health and care in the BOB Integrated Care System. The strategy and corresponding objectives were developed through collaboration between partners, people and communities across BOB for the whole of the BOB population to address its health and care needs.

The strategy builds on the current joint local health and wellbeing strategies that have been developed between NHS, local authorities and other partners at the local authority level and included a formal period of engagement to allow participation from people who live and work across the BOB footprint.

The Strategy sets out five Strategic Themes, where we expect to do more together, locally and across the health and care system, to improve health and wellbeing in a manner that is fair and inclusive. These themes are focussed on preventing ill-health, giving people the best possible start in life and then supporting people to stay healthy and well for longer and ensuring they are able to access the right support when they need it.
