Priority action plan published to improve SEND services

Oxfordshire County Council has today (18 December) published the local area partnership priority action plan to improve services and support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).  

People can now book their flu vaccine online from today (2 October) as the NHS booking system opens ahead of what could be a challenging winter for the health service.

For the first time since the latest set of NHS strikes started last year, junior doctors and consultants will be taking industrial action on the same day (20 September).

Nearly 650,000 eligible people across our health region of Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West (BOB) can book their life-saving autumn Covid vaccine online from today (18 September) as the NHS steps up its winter vaccination programmes early in response to the risk of the new Covid variant.

The Greater Reading Nepalese Community Association is supporting a group of GP practices across Reading to help raise awareness of ‘Know Your Numbers Week’ by hosting a Pressure Station at its football tournament to encourage visitors to get a blood pressure check and the support they need to look after their health.

Berkshire residents are advised where to get access to the right service as we enter cold and flu season.

Patients across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West are being reminded to order repeat prescriptions in plenty of time for the coming Bank Holiday weekend.
